Families Forward is seeking a Grants and Communications Manager who is primarily responsible for securing and managing private and public grant funding to meet Families Forward’s annual budget and contributing to the agency’s overall communications efforts, including newsletters and other external communication vehicles. As a member of the Communications and Data Management Team, the Grants and Communications Manager shares responsibility for understanding, communicating and positioning of the overall performance measures for the agency’s services and achievements. Since 1984, Families Forward has worked with families to help them achieve self-sufficiency through housing, food, counseling, career coaching, education, and other support services. Writer/Grantsmanship | Community Works Consulting
For more than a decade Community Works Consulting has worked to fulfill our mission to help nonprofits be strong powerful change makers. We do so by helping nonprofit agencies to create long-term sustainable change that aligns with their mission, vision and values. Through fundraising, facilitation, or capacity building, or a combination of all three services, we will craft an individualized approach that provides a hands-on, tailored response for our client needs. The Writer/Grantsmanship is an independent contractor role (1099) role that works remotely and must be able to attend meetings with clients. This fast-paced role, will require ability to to learn and process information quickly and work with a wide variety of clients from varying types of organizations. This role will be responsible for strategizing ideas for funding, conduct research and interact with funders on behalf of our clients. The best match for this role is someone with at minimum of 5 years of successful grant writing experience.
