Before coming to GPA, Shelley spent 20 years working in higher education as well as for community development and social service not-for-profits such as the YMCA of Greater Kansas City and Angel Flight Central. In addition to her role as “Head Cheerleader” for the GPA Chapters, she is also active in the Kansas City community and has served as President of a local chapter of career professionals and served on the Board of Directors for the South Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.

Oswaldo “Ozzie” Perez
Orange County Department of Education
Grants and Funding Coordinator

Ozzie joined GPA/GPAOC in 2017. He attended his first GPA Conference in San Diego, and this past year in Chicago, he shared his mentee experiences during a GPA Mentor Match session. He graduated UC San Diego with a BA in Urban Studies & Planning, and Visual Arts. As Coordinator, Grants and Funding at the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE), he provides support and technical assistance to OCDE staff and partners desiring to secure funding for new and existing programs. Before coming to OCDE Ozzie has worked for FACT (Facilitating Access to Coordinated Transportation) as a Grants Management Analyst. He’s an avid runner and enjoys gadgets and technology.
